Lost Ark Bot

Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated August 13, 2026

This policy explains how Lost Ark Bot (Discord application ID 506719903991070720), also presented as MiscBot, accesses, uses, stores, and deletes data. The application provides moderation, safety, utility, and community-management features for the Lost Ark Discord community.

Data we process

Depending on the feature being used, the application may process:

How we use data

We use this data only to operate the application: respond to commands; moderate spam, scams, prohibited links, and other rule violations; detect and respond to raids or suspicious new accounts; manage roles and member events; support community workflows; process ban appeals; keep moderation records; secure the service; and allow authorized staff to administer these features.

The application does not sell data, use it for advertising, build advertising profiles, or use message content to train machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models.

Message content

Message content is inspected when needed for text commands, automated moderation and safety checks, scam-image detection, link filtering, forum and recruitment helpers, trade helpers, and other message-triggered community features. Full message bodies are not stored in the application database. When a moderation or watchlist feature creates a log containing a message excerpt, that log is posted to a restricted channel within Discord. The external database may retain message IDs and a limited rule-match summary, such as a matched filter phrase or blocked domain, as part of a moderation record.

Storage and retention

Operational data is stored only for as long as needed for the feature for which it was collected. Full message content is processed in real time and is not retained in the application database. Website sessions normally expire within eight hours, website activity indicators expire after brief inactivity and are removed within 24 hours, and expired one-time appeal links are removed or invalidated.

Moderation, safety, appeal, audit, watchlist, and role-restoration records may be kept for longer than 30 days when needed to enforce community rules, preserve case history, investigate abuse, or restore access. Data that is no longer required is deleted or de-identified. Discord API data is also deleted or updated when required by Discord or applicable law, or after a valid user request, subject to any legal obligations that require retention.

Sharing and security

Data is available only to the application operator, service providers used to host the bot, website, and database, and authorized community staff who need it for moderation or administration. We do not share Discord API data with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information when required by law or to investigate and address security incidents.

We use HTTPS in transit, restricted staff access, role-based dashboard permissions, short-lived authenticated sessions, and encryption at rest for stored Discord API data. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and deletion requests

Server-wide moderation and safety checks cannot be disabled for an individual member while they continue to participate in a server where those features are enabled. Users can avoid optional text-command processing by using slash commands where available, and can stop direct-message processing by not messaging the bot.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your activity data, open a support ticket in the Lost Ark Discord server and state that the request concerns “Lost Ark Bot / MiscBot privacy data.” Include your Discord user ID so the operator can locate the correct records. If you cannot access the server because you are banned, begin through the bot's ban-appeal link or direct-message appeal flow and clearly label the submission as a privacy-data request. The operator may ask you to verify control of the Discord account before completing the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the application or its data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
